Most (90%) concrete used between 40 and 50% slag cement with the exception of some post-tensioned work. The various high-performance columns were at a 50% slag dosage with design strengths between 7,000 and 12,000 psi. In the case of the columns, slag was instrumental to achieve 12,000 psi.

The project was completed on time with no quality issues reported. Slag allowed for high strength concrete in columns while using local available materials in Miami.
